Coz smile is pretty cheap

Around a year back,i was standing outside BHAIDAS AUDITORIUM,Parle along with my dear friend Chandralekha Mukherjee. On that particular day,She had her show at Bhaidas and i was there to check the MERIT LIST FOR B.M.M at our college. The display of list got delayed and we had to kill the time.Being a Bengali and from Delhi, she was naturally hungry.(I am not being a racist.Honestly,i love Bengalis and find their habits very cute) So we stopped at "The Famous Dosa Stalls" opposite Bhaidas which is also the meeting-point for all the S.V.K.M students & Gujarati theatrewallahs.

We talked about random stuff for few minutes over there while she was enjoying the food.Meanwhile a person who had few balloons in his hand approached us and requested us to buy one.Quite casually,We said the harsh word - "NO"

He requested. CHANDU said - "NO"
He pleade
d. CHANDU said - "NO"

He started begging and told us to buy at least one so he could get some food for him and his child. CHANDU said - "NO" and turned her back towards him and advised me to do the same.I tried to turn around but simply could not.I was not able to take my eyes off his sad and helpless face.So i bought one balloon for 10 rupees. He left with satisfaction.

Chandu told me there was no need to do such a thing. You should have ignored it.Beggars play with your emotions to get the money out of your pocket.
I replied that
he was not begging. I know beggars,at times do fool you.If that was the case,i would have ignored ; but in this case, he was at least not begging and was trying to earn his livelihood through a job which unfortunately has low margin of profit so i just helped him a bit.

"O.K..FINE.Agreed that he was not begging but what if he was just acting? He conned you by delivering a good performance"
"There's no possible way he could have conned me" I replied.
"A Con" takes place when someone fools you and takes away something from you but here a GIVE & TAKE took place.I gave him 10 bucks and in return got a pleasant, cute little thing.None of us got robbed.A PURE DEAL..NO SCOPE TO CON.

She asked me "All of that is fine but now what will u do with this balloon?" -  A QUESTION for which i had no ANSWER.

She hastily rushed inside the auditorium after that and i started walking towards the college, clueless along with that single "BALLOON".I walked past my college.A crowd had gathered at the notice board as the list was about to get display but i didn't bother much about it and moved on..I kept on walking and thinking about the options to get rid of the balloon.I almost reached the station and noticed a girl roughly 7 years old who was playing in a street.I called her and gave her that balloon. She was extremely happy to have it and ran away with it.

  The EQUATION is quite simple.

                                                                            2 CHARACTERS

1.A MAN WHO CANT SELL A BALLOON                    &                   2.A GIRL WHO WANTS ONE.

I just acted as a middleman who accomplished their goals.

The man might have smiled that day coz he could get some food or maybe he fooled me (I am satisfied in either case)

The girl smiled that day coz she got a beautiful object to play with.

&

Even i smiled that day coz i did something good and felt good.
(P.S : My name was there in merit list but the happiness that resulted because of this incident was comparatively more than any other)

3 PEOPLE smiled in just 10 rupees......really not a bad deal.its quite cheap.

The world is sad,depressed,frustrated and angry...There's a lot of HATE in here.SPREAD A SMILE GUYS...THE WORLD NEEDS IT..AND ITS FREE OF COST........keep laughing.keep smiling.b blessed.love u all.
